Voltage detector - non-contact function - light and sound feedback - 70-250 V AC - battery-powered Maxwell-Digital 25822

It combines the advantages of traditional phase pencil and non-contact voltage detectors. Suitable for detecting AC voltage at sockets, cable ducts, circuit breakers and wires. Thanks to its comfortable pen shape, it even fits in your pocket. Traditional phase pencil, with which you can easily and quickly check which is the phase (live) cable. The tester is suitable for touch detection of voltage between 70 – 250 V AC. If the light is on, it is a phase (live) cable. If the light is off and a beep is heard, the voltage on the tested cable is less than 70 V AC.

For non-contact testing, it can be used up to 70 – 1000 V AC. During use in non-contact mode, none of its surfaces come into metallic contact with the surface to be measured, thereby minimizing the risk of electric shock, so that the position of the phase can be determined even more safely. For the measurement mode, use the surface with the cap at the end of the pen and watch the light and sound signal.

Attention!
1. The tester cannot be used to test voltages above the specified nominal voltage!
2. The perfect signal is provided only in the temperature range of -10 – (+50)°C and in the frequency range of 50-500 Hz.
3. The perceptibility of the signal may be impaired: in unfavorable light conditions (e.g. in sunlight).
4. Before use, the perfect functioning of the tester must be checked (SELF TEST).
5. Do not use the tester in the presence of moisture! (This includes dew, mist or rain)
6. Use the blade of the phase pencil only for checking voltage. It is forbidden to do any other work process without disconnecting the voltage! A damaged tester must not be used! Please note that under certain conditions, static electricity may be generated on the plastic body, which may cause incorrect readings (signals)! Never attempt to modify any part inside the tester.

To change the battery, pull the belt clip up slightly and slide it back. Insert 2 new batteries into the battery holder, pay attention to the correct polarity! Replace the belt clip. (push it forward until you hear a clicking sound). Caution: Do not operate the tester with the battery cover removed.
